Matthew Howe
Solicitor
Matthew qualified as a solicitor in August 2020 and already has a wealth of experience dealing with reputational management matters, having been involved with these matters throughout his training.
Having trained under solicitor and partner, Judith Thompson, he has gained extensive expertise in a wide variety of reputation management issues, including defamation, breach of privacy and the right to be forgotten. Matthew has dealt with clients from a wide variety of different backgrounds and circumstances and understands that each matter must be dealt with on its own merits, with a high level of compassion and understanding.
Having been responsible for drafting and submitting numerous right to be forgotten applications, Matthew knows exactly what to include in order to achieve a successful outcome. He understands the urgency that some applications require and can often have an application submitted within 24 hours of having received instructions from the client.
Even if an application is rejected by the search engine, Matthew has drafted many successful appeals to the Information Commissioner’s Office and understands very well the more complex nature of this work.
Matthew is based in Devon but originally grew up in Germany and Belgium. He is therefore extremely well placed to assist clients in different jurisdictions, who must appeal to the relevant information regulator in their own country.
